Ahh yes, everyone's very first anime (technically Kimi No Na Wa but that was a movie so it doesn't count ehe). I still remember the first time I watched that show it was during pandemic and there was nothing much to do, I got a free trial for Netflix for 2 days and asked my friend which anime to watch since there were some anime shows available, so he suggested Assassination Classroom.
I was instantly hooked since the first episode, there was nothing like that I have ever seen, I mean just the concept of the show was so bizarre (after watching 1000 isekai nothing surprises me anymore) but it was so strange, 20 Kids trying to kill their octopus teacher before he destroys earth like he destroyed the moon.
Well the show had a nice start and just kept building upon it, introducing new and funny characters to some strange and psychotic antagonist, the first season was a mix of all types people. And the big cast made every situation approachable from a different perspective, the teamwork the dedication and the funny moments all gave the show a good mix of everything.
I did kind of felt that the second season had a slow pace especially during the space part, but overall it felt like the show had a lot to offer and it delivered on everything that it promised, I am a little biased about it since its my first show, but I genuinely cannot think about much flaws.
The plot twists were nice and digestible, Koro Sensei backstory was also a nice change and gave more insight to the type of man he was, and the whole trio of the principle and studies and the history of the high school was a nice touch to making the viewer get more attached to the characters in the story including the antagonists (yes plural I am not gonna forgive her).
The movie, honestly nothing just a recap after sometime so yeah, if you're feeling nostalgic you can watch the movie after finishing the show and it will have a deeper impact rather than re-watching the whole show (but that's just my opinion).
I am sorry it has been literally months since my last post, I am planning to get back to it and maybe continue it on a weekly or monthly basis.
Stay Safe
Stay Comfy out there.

Season 2 when?:)
