What is Real & What is a Dream? A look into Perfect Blue, a masterpiece by Satoshi Kon (No Spoilers)

Oh boy where do I even start with this. I was casually surfing Instagram when I saw a post with "banned anime movies" and among the many movies mentioned Perfect Blue caught my eyes. One night at around 2:40am I had nothing to watch, so I decided to give this hour long movie a try to see what the hype was about and why was it banned. Curiosity killed the cat. My first reaction after watching the movie was What the actual f*** . Ok real Mima (in a sarcastic tone) you have no idea how many YouTube analogies and theories I had to go through to understand what was going on in the movie. This sums it up well. But after all that my brain went. Why suffer alone? :).

I am going to talk about the amazing reactions I got from my friends when I (definitely did not force them) to watch the movie. So the first half was all fun and haha who is that dude

And after the first half of the movie when we reached this part....

After we reached this scene (42:15) and the following scene after this, all the laughing and giggling stopped and then I was the one laughing at them as I saw their jaw drop XD.

And as the movie progressed more and more and their brain started to hurt minute by minute, my laughter kept increasing as the seconds passed by XD Just looking at their horrified faces after each transition scene is just amazing! I am trying really hard to keep this spoiler free. I just loved every second I spent on this film the mind twisting transitions along with the use of color red and transitions and use of mirror and faces is just! Its a really amazing psychological anime that I have watched. Period. If you love movies like Saw, fractured, Shutter Island that have you questioning everything that is going on around the protagonist (just the one's I know), then you are going to love this ,ovie. Also If you are interested in shows such as Death Note, Wonder Egg Priority etc you are going to enjoy and have a good time in the mind blowing and amazing psychological anime. I have my exams from tomorrow so I wont be here for almost a month, sorry for that, wish me luck xD. Anyways I hope you all are doing alright and as always. Stay Safe, Stay Comfy :D
